A long time ago, there were many infants and children who wanted to go to nursery school but were unable to do so. But now, with the number of children on waiting lists decreasing, we are now in an era that parents choose a nursery school. The motivation for parents to choose a nursery school is the enrichment of childcare content. Popular nursery schools excel in supporting children’s growth and development. There are cases that children achieve a certain level of achievement even when they go from nursery school to higher-level schools such as elementary schools. Currently, the reality is that unless the quality of childcare content is improved, it is no longer possible to attract people who wish to enroll.
As a global trend, the importance of early childhood education has come to be appreciated once again. Numerous studies have shown that good early childhood education has long-term effects. In particular, in early childhood education, it has been pointed out that not only cognitive abilities such as calculation are important, but also non-cognitive abilities. Looking at trends in developed countries, emphasis has been placed on investments that improve the quality of education. Evaluations of good early childhood education in other countries seem to agree that the effects of non-cognitive skills persist. A study conducted in the mid-1970s followed approximately 1,000 children born in New Zealand. In this country as well, it has been reported that children who are judged to have high self-control in early childhood have stable incomes and good health as adults. Children who are judged to have high self-control in early childhood are more stable in their social lives as adults.
Today’s nursery schools are required to create an environment for play and exercise that children will love and that will pique their interest. By working on tasks while moving their bodies, children’s concentration will increase. It would be great if we could increase opportunities for children to take action on their own initiative and repeat failures and successes. I don’t think it’s very desirable to give unreasonable instructions and teach children every step of the way using adult standards. It is also necessary for children to grow up that we warmly watch over them as they desperately try to live their lives even though they are immature. Doing what you can do by yourself will give you self-affirmation and will help your children fulfill their needs. Fulfilling your needs as a result of overcoming difficulties is a valuable experience. The more experiences children have and the more they acquire basic physical skills, the more they will be able to accept diversity. It’s not a matter of exercising or studying, but both exercise and studying are necessary for living as a human being. I would like to send my child to such a nursery school.
