Humans have invented tools by utilizing their highly capable brains. Another thing that other animals do not have is laughter. For example, it is known that after laughing, immunoglobulins increase and natural killer cells are activated. It has become scientifically proven that laughter enhances immune function. By mastering and evolving the means of laughter, humans have acquired the ability to maintain and improve their health. Humans have elevated laughter to an art form.
From the third to fourth grade of elementary school, children develop the ability to form peer groups and control groups. When a group is formed, elements of crowd psychology come into play. The characteristics of crowd psychology are impulsive, easily agitated, easily excited, easily influenced by suggestion, believe things lightly, have exaggerated and simple emotions, and are narrow-minded, tyrannical, and conservative. Laughter is lurking in bullying groups. As light “teasing” is repeated, the bully gradually becomes numb to their senses. In many cases, the teasing escalates as it is repeated. Furthermore, children who tease others tend to make friends, and while the morals of the bullying peers decline, they tend to strengthen their unity. The bullies laugh at the teasing, and their friends unite. However, the child who is being bullied becomes increasingly isolated.
In Canada and the United States, there are cases that boys are bullied when they wear pink clothes. When a man wears pink clothes, he is often bullied, with people saying things like, “He’s gay,” and “Pink?”. At a junior high school in Canada, a boy who came to school wearing a pink shirt was bullied by a group of bullies. The other group, who saw the bullying, took a humorous action. They did more than just tell the bullying group to “stop bullying.” They contacted all the students in the school other than the bullying group on social media, telling them to prepare pink clothes and things to wear. The next day, the campus was completely covered in pink, and the only students who were not were the bullying group. The bullying group had no choice but to keep quiet. Since then, bullying has disappeared from this campus and peace has been maintained ever since. If the behavior of the bullying children is deterred and healthy laughter dominates the class, we will be happy.
